Silk Road of Chicago was a solid grab for a quick lunch in the Loop. Went around 12:30 and got the hand-pulled beef noodle bowl, pork dumplings, and a jasmine iced tea. Noodles had that nice chew and the broth was super comforting, hit just right on a windy Chicago day. Watching them work the open kitchen was a nice touch too. Fast, filling, and no drama—definitely coming back again.

This place gets 5 stars for it's one dish that they perfected. "Spicy chicken". It is a little sweet, good and spicy (but not painful), has a few nice token veggies in it, plentiful sauce, but not goopey. Everything else is fine and standard, but you go here for the spicy chicken. It is just as good as I remember it the first time I had it over 10 years ago.

This place has the BEST spicy chicken. I have been coming here since 2001! I have never found another place that makes the spicy chicken like they do. This is all I order from here, so I cannot comment on their other food. It is always fresh as they are cooking it right in front of you.

Silk Road of Chicago is legit! I swung by for a quick bite and got the Dan Dan noodles and Kung Pao chicken, and man, I wasn’t disappointed. The noodles were spicy with just the right amount of kick, and the Kung Pao had that perfect mix of savory, sweet, and a little crunch from the peanuts.
